Various forms of infrastructure, such as buildings and transportation networks, are a major source of GHG emissions and are also at substantial risk of damage or disruption due to climate change. In addition, with natural assets considered as a form of infrastructure, there is also an opportunity to create healthy ecosystems that are not only important for community health and wellbeing but also serve to remove carbon from the atmosphere. With this, infrastructure represents a critical intersection to work towards both climate adaptation and mitigation.
