Understanding existing sources of emissions is an essential component of taking targeted steps to reduce them. Charlottetown initially completed GHG inventories at both the community and corporate level in 2015 to understand the major contributors to emissions. 2015 now serves as a baseline year to which future years are compared. The most recent analysis was completed in 2023, as highlighted in the figures below.
