GHG emissions from buildings make up 21% of the City of Charlotetown’s corporate emissions and are responsible for 40% of emissions across the community. As a result, increasing building energy efficiency is a key focus of this Plan. Simultaneously, property damage is known to be one of the major impacts of climate change. With this, it is important that property owners take steps to protect homes and businesses.
