4.1 Enhance the climate resiliency of residential, commercial, and municipal buildings

The implementation of the Goals and Actions under this theme will contribute to completing the following targets set by the Province of PEI’s 2040 Net Zero Framework:

• Reduction in emissions from buildings 65-70% by 2030 and 85-90% by 2040
• 100% of all types of homes and buildings use a non-emitting heat source as the primary heating system by 2040

and goals set by the Province of PEI’s Climate Adaptation Plan:

• ACTION 9: Home Adaptation Renovations and Upgrades
