The implementation of the Goals and Actions under this theme will contribute to completing the following targets set by the Province of PEI’s 2040 Net Zero Framework:
- Reduction in emissions from buildings 65-70% by 2030 and 85-90% by 2040
- 100% of all types of homes and buildings use a non-emitting heat source as the primary heating system by 2040
and goals set by the Province of PEI’s Climate Adaptation Plan:
- ACTION 9: Home Adaptation Renovations and Upgrades
