Waste Reduction Week 2026 is taking place from October 19-25 in Charlottetown!
Some events you can look forward to are a community clothing swap, Learn to Mend and Food Waste Reduction workshops, and, of course, the Fix-It Fair.
One way you can participate is by volunteering. This year there are two events that we're looking for volunteers for:
Fix-It Fair
Do you have a knack for fixing things? Volunteer at the Fix-It Fair! We're looking for tinkers, menders, and makers to lend their skills and help keep broken items out of landfills.
Clothing Swap
The City is accepting volunteers to help at the clothing swap. Some tasks you might help with include welcoming the public into the event, sorting and folding clothes, or helping attendees to find what they're looking for.
