All new City light duty fleet purchases are electric by 2027
100% of City light duty fleet is electric by 2035
All new City heavy duty fleet purchases are electric by 2030
100% of City heavy duty fleet is electric by 2040

4.4.2. Continue to complete energy efficiency audits, commissioning, and retrofits in all City facilities.
4.4.3. Build all new City buildings to net zero or Passive House standards.
4.4.4. Perform comprehensive energy audits on all Water and Sewer Utility buildings, including the Charlottetown Pollution Control Plant.
4.4.5. Complete retrofits to structures, facilities, and equipment in City parks to work towards net zero park operations.
4.4.6. Reduce emissions from City lawn maintenance practices through investment in electric equipment and natural methods.
6.3.3. Continue to educate staff and enforce the City’s anti-idling policy for City vehicles, including public transit buses.
